Learning Facilitators and Introduction to Competition Coaching Clinic 2010

Article imageOctober 27, 2010 October 22-24 was a big weekend for potential coaches and coaching facilitators from across Canada. 12 candidate coaches signed up to learn more about wheelchair basketball and five current coaches jumped at the opportunity to learn from the best at Douglas College in New Westminster, BC. New Paralympic Coach Excellence Award Named After Wheelchair Basketball Canada Coach Tim Frick

Article imageOctober 15, 2010 October 15, 2010 (Ottawa, ON) Wheelchair Basketball Canada congratulates former Sr. Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Coaching great Tim Frick who was selected by the Canadian Paralympic Committee’s (CPC) Coaches Council when naming their new coaching excellence award – “The Tim Frick Paralympic Coach Excellence Award.” Frick led Team Canada to an unprecedented three straight Paralympic gold medals in 1992, 1996, and 2000 as part of a run of nine consecutive podium finishes at the Paralympic Games and World Championships between 1990-2006. read more...

BCWBS Seeks Canada Game Team Manager and Assistant Coach

June 10, 2010 BCWBS is accepting applications for the position of Team Manager and Assistant Coach for Team BC that will be competing at the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax, February 10 – 18, 2010. These are both volunteer positions but an honorarium is provided and certain expenses will be covered to attend camps and competitions pertaining to this position. read more...
