Comox Valley Wheelchair Sports Host Island Skills Day

Article imageJanuary 29, 2015 Comox Valley Wheelchair Sports Club hosted an Island Skills Day at the Comox Community Centre on January 24. The club invited other island clubs including Mid-Island and Victoria. BCWBS Regional and High Performance Coach Simon Cass was also invited to run the skills sessions. 20 plus players gathered at the event to learn and work on the fundamental skills. Young Athletes From Across BC Got Together at BC Jr. Challenge Festival in Burnaby

Article imageJanuary 25, 2015 The annual BC Wheelchair Basketball Jr. Challenge Festival was held at the Fortius Sport & Health in Burnaby on January 24 & 25. More than 25 athletes and 9 coaches from across BC got together and worked on wheelchair basketball skills over the weekend.Canada Games Team BC athletes also attended the festival to prepare for the Canada Winter Games coming up in February. read more...

Lower Mainland Division 2 Tournament Results

November 24, 2014 Seven teams met in the Division 2 BC-CWBL tournament in Lower Mainland on Nov 22 and 23rd. CWBL Western Conference BC Tournament Results

November 19, 2014 Last weekend (Nov 14 & 15) saw four CWBL teams competed their first Western Conference tournament of the season at Richmond Olympic Oval. BC entered two teams with a mixture of veteran and developing players including a few athletes from the newly selected Canada Games team. Edmonton Northern Lights consisted of 7 of 12 athletes on Alberta Canada Games team showed their strength by winning all their games on the weekend.  read more...
